One of PGIOs biggest passions is borne out of the rampant plight of women facing sexual violence. Rape and sexual assault cases are numerous in the Central Kenya region where our activities are focused.

This was a rape case resulting in pregnancy of a 16 year girl working as a house help and taken advantage of by her employer.

PGIO took it up, though it ended without a conviction as the girl couldn’t take us to the offenders home. She needed a place to live and to take care of the baby.
